WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?
We have a 72-hour cancellation policy, which means you can cancel without penalty until 16:00 hrs three days before your arrival. If the booking is cancelled after this time, you are subject to a penalty charge equivalent to the first two nights of your stay.
On New Year’s Eve and King’s Day, we have a special event cancellation policy of three weeks and a penalty charge equivalent to the first three nights of your stay.
For all reservations, we require a 10% deposit at time of booking. The deposit paid is non-refundable when cancelling.
IS COCOMAMA HOTEL LOCATED NEAR THE CITY CENTRE OF AMSTERDAM?
We are located in the city center – a 5 minutes walk from the Waterloo Square, 10 minutes from the Rembrandt Square and the Munt Tower, and 15 minutes from the Dam Square and the Red Light district.
DO YOU HAVE WIFI?
Of course. And it's FREE too. You have access to our free WiFi throughout the entire building.
DO YOU SERVE BREAKFAST?
MAMA doesn't serve breakfast but you can flip those eggs sunny-side-up yourself in our fully equipped kitchen. We have a fridge to keep your stuff fresh and supply free grounded coffee, tea, sugar, oil and spices. All for you to experiment with. We said we love creative people.
ARE LINEN/TOWELS INCLUDED?
Fresh, crisp linen is included in every room. We will even make your bed for you. (Yes, MAMA takes good care of you.)
Towels are included in our private double rooms. If staying in a dorm, you can rent a towel for € 2 or buy one for € 4 at reception.
I FORGOT SOMETHING AT COCOMAMA. CAN YOU SEND IT BACK TO ME?
Yes, of course. With pleasure. If we've found your lost item, we are more than happy to send it over to you. Shipping charges range between € 15 and € 25 (depending on weight, size and delivery time-frame) when shipping to EU countries. For shipments outside the EU, prices generally vary between € 20 and € 40 (depending on weight, size and delivery time-frame).

CAN I STORE MY LUGGAGE BEFORE CHECK IN?
Yes. If you arrive earlier than check-in time, we'll store your luggage free of charge until your room/bed is ready.
CAN I STORE MY LUGGAGE AFTER CHECK OUT?
Yes. You can store your luggage free of charge with us from the moment you check out until 21:00 hrs the same day.
CAN I STORE MY LUGGAGE OVERNIGHT WHILE I AM OUT OF TOWN?
Yes. You can store your luggage for an extended period of time with us. A luggage charge of € 5 per night applies.
WHAT ARE RECEPTION HOURS?
Reception is open from 9:00 – 21:00 hrs.
CAN I CHECK IN OUTSIDE RECEPTION HOURS?
Yes. You can arrive at Cocomama Hotel any time of day.
If you'll be arriving before 9:00 or after 21:00 hrs, please give us heads-up so we know when to expect you. We'll inform our night receptionist, who will open the door for you. If you're in front of the door and you need to reach the nigh receptionist, you can do so by calling +31 6 82 31 36 24.
IS IT POSSIBLE TO REQUEST A SPECIFIC PRIVATE ROOM OR DORM?
Yes. It is possible to make a specific room request but we cannot guarantee the requested room will be allocated. We always try our best though, so it’s definitely worth asking.
I DON'T FULFIL THE MINIMUM REQUIRED LENGHT-OF-STAY. CAN I ALSO STAY FOR A SHORTER PERIOD OF TIME?
Yes. You can stay for a shorter period of time, but only if your booking is one day shorter than the minimum length-of-stay applicable during your travel dates.
Reservations are on request-only basis and a minimum stay fee will apply. Please email us with your travel dates and room type you wish to book. We'll get back to you with availability and rate information.
If your reservation request is more than one night less than the minimum length-of-stay applicable during your travel dates, it is not possible to make a reservation.

I WANT TO EXTEND MY STAY WITH ONE NIGHT BUT THE ONLINE BOOKING SYSTEM DOESN'T ALOW ME TO MAKE A SEPARATE BOOKING FOR ONE NIGHT ONLY. WHAT CAN I DO?
Just email us at email@example.com and we'll extend your booking manually (if availability allows).
I WANT TO MAKE A BOOKING BUT I DO NOT HAVE A CREDIT CARD. WHAT NOW?
Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. If availability allows, we'll make your reservation manually and will ask for a bank deposit of the first night to confirm your booking.
I AM UNDER 18. CAN I STAY WITH COCOMAMA?
We welcome guests of all ages. If you are under 18, please have your parents contact us at email@example.com.
WHERE CAN I PARK MY CAR?
There is street parking around the hotel, but heads up, it is quite expensive and might be challenging to find a spot. The city charges you € 4 per hour from 9 am till midnight, or € 36 when buying a day-card.
An alternative option that your wallet might prefer is:
Park at the so-called "P&R" parkings, located outside the city centre. The nearest one is the one at the Zeeburg (Zuiderzeeweg 46).
Parking ticket pricing works as follows:
Mon – Fri: arrive before 10:00 am and pay € 8 for the first 24 hours, after that pay € 1 per 24 hrs; arrive after 10:00 am and pay € 1 for the first 24 hrs, after that pay € 1 per 24 hrs.
Weekend: pay € 1 per 24 hrs.
Maximum parking time is 96 hrs.
To get to Cocomama from P&R Zeeburg, take tram 26 towards Central Station and get out at the final stop 'Amsterdam Centraal'. At Amsterdam Central station transfer to the Tram, number 4 and get out at stop 'Frederiksplein'. From there it's a 2 min walk to Cocomama. A ticket for the metro costs € 2,90 and is valid for unlimited travel for an hour. You can buy tickets in the vending machine at the metrostation. 24 hrs tickets are also available – they are € 7,50.
